Note restoration

So, I picked up an 1865 ace on a bank that has only two reported notes. Note faces up decently but a fair bit of tape on the back to deal with edge splits. Might be worth getting fixed if the price is right - anyone recommend me where to go, and what I might be looking at to get said work done?

...Also have a 1875 ace that has no tape but torn clear through, might see about that as well. I once did preliminary research on doing this myself but decided it was likely a time investment that wouldn't pay off...

  • MEC2, as I've recommended to others about this sort of thing the absolute FIRST place I would call is your State Archives department. They usually know what they are doing, can give you an estimate, etc. Next would be maybe a University library.
