Question on 1869 Portugal 5000R

Do you guys think there is cleaning, normal low end UNC handling marks plus die polish (the coin is PL, but I think you gathered that), or other?

Your thoughts would be welcomed/appreciated...

Let me guess: NGC excessive hairlines.

It does appear to have been mishandled, and probably more than just hairlines (see cheek and neck). But I'm sure it looks better in-hand than the photo shows. Photos magnify every imperfection.

No it's in a 61 holder, and looks like a PL coin with some die polish and handling marks that are exaggerated cause the coin is PL and frosty. It's not a high grade coin but has decent eye appeal in hand. Tough to find anyway...

I'm just not an expert on these and have only seen 2 of these in hand, both similar look so I assume they were struck looking PL and had die polish.

Curious if you think PCGS should cross it (ANY) or will it not cross?

    Thx.

This coin crossed as AU58...just happy to have it in a PCGS holder image

I thought 61 was fair. But a cross to PCGS 58 is just as good, particularly as I know you're doing a PCGS set.
