I was able to recently win at auction a pattern copper-nickel pattern 1969 Biafra crown (actually a one pound coin) - I have not seen this before despite being on the look. It is of standard design as those now selling on eBay in the 200-250 dollars range recently and of 0.750 silver standard.
My question to interested readers: if you have access to one of the "ordinary" coins, can you weigh it and either post it or PM me with it? I have heard there is a range from 24-26 gms. and also note that Krause appears to have the wrong weight at 19.76 gm.
This coin weighs 24.4 gms.
