dealers with music on thier websites

while browsing a dealers webpage, does background music distract or pamper you ? and who has music ?
regardless of how many posts I have, I don't consider myself an "expert" at anything

    I will quickly close out of the website making a written or mental note to never return. Their music isn't going to compete with what I have already playing, the silence I may want, or the purring of a cat in my lap.

    I'll stay on such a site if the coins are nice, but yes, websites with music are annoying unless they've got a prominently displayed "music off" kill switch. As mentioned, if one is already listening to music, such pages can be quite annoying.

    On my first website in the 1990s, I installed music. About 3am, I received a call from an irate collector. He said he had done a search and found my site. Whenever he clicked on the site the music started blaring because his kids had been playing a game on the computer and forgot to turn the sound down. The blaring music awakened his wife and she was very upset. So, at 3am he called me to vent his frustration. Needless to say, later that day I took the music off my website. I would not recommend music on a dealer's website! image
