Do you contact PSA when you open a PSA slab?

I'm sure this has been discussed, but do you contact PSA with the cert #s for the cards you remove from their slabs? I believe either they or PCGS gave you $.50 or something similar if you let them know your removed a card/coin from a slab if you provided them with the label(s)?

I have cracked open several slabs and never let PSA know. I'm sure I'm in the majority. The pop report has to be completely out of whack by now.

Between countless crackouts, and thousands upon thousands of mech errors yet uncorrected (and probably never will be corrected), substitute the word "code" with "pop report" in the quote below:

I just dropped a bunch of old flips I've had for many years in a PWE and mailed it to them recently. To their credit the POP Report did reflect these being eliminated within days of me mailing the envelope.
