Value of low serial number note

I bought a pile of $2 bills at the bank today and one was a 1976 with the serial number

A00000094*

I ave never seen a number that low but I'm wondering on newer bills how special that is for a star note. Could it have come from some cut up sheet ?

It's well circulated but not torn

Lucky find! Yes,you have a note with plenty of "special" and added value beyond face.It is more desirable on the 1976 series rather than the even newer $2 bills. That stated a pic(of both sides) will assist me,and others here,in placing a value range on it.You may also get offers. Please post pics. Here's one of mine.....

I think that low serials from the A* block are more available but there are many collectors out there that would be interested in any low serial $2 note. 1976 is fairly new but for $2 FRN's that is as old as it gets...

Here is a 3 digit mini radar I have:

I scanned it now I just gotta figure out how to get it in a message. Ever since the forum update I've been having issues with links and what not

That is a great find and similar to one my brother found out in a random coin shop in the middle of nowhere last year:

It wasn't cut from a sheet and low A stars for 1976 are out there, but your two digit low is actually a very nice find, especially for what I presume was for $2 at the bank. Well done. Two digit $2 bills are very tough to find as there just aren't many out there for collectors.

The other note has the serial number a little high , it was from the same group of 36 bills. They were all turned in by the same man . The only other thing of note was 2 nice consecutive 1976 A notes

That is stil a really cool note despite the condition. A great find for face! I would estimate it at $50 - $75 in that condition... but I am not one the $2 specialists... If it was 4 notes less or 5 notes more I think the value would be more.

The other definitely has a high alignment but without the right serial or left seal crossing over other design elements I wouldn't call it an error. Very minor at best...

Yeah, I think $75 is a reasonable value. It is definitely circulated and has the upper margin tear. One heck of nice bank find though, so good job.

Also the other note you show that is printed high....that is not significant to be considered an error note. It is pretty common on the 1976 twos. When more dramatic and there is a distinct overlap in the printing then it can have significant value.
