I know what I'd buy.. I'm working on the 1991, 1992 and 1993 Donruss The Elite Series, The Legends Series and The Signature Series master set. The last big card I need for that set is the 1992 Cal Ripken Jr. Signature Series. So that's what I'd buy. :-)

I think it depends if you are wanting to add something to your personal collection, or you are looking at buying something to resell. You could take $400 and buy a pretty nice vintage lot and then break it up to resell.

I would probably buy 2-3 high end vintage raw cards from reputable dealers. Get them graded and then turn around and sell them.

If it for your personal collection, go for the card that you have been putting off for awhile. Never a time like the present!
  • I highly recommend a signed PSA graded Ken Griffey Jr. 1989 Upper Deck Rookie #1. It is iconic card everyone must have in their collection. Griffey Jr already got the most vote All-Time for HOFer so is a no brainer. It will maintain value due to huge fans base or PSA registry collector of HOF RC AUTO.

Buy topps tiffany HOF RC PSA 10s from the 1980s and 1990s. Cool collectibles, limited print run, and they are still relatively affordable.
  • buy Michael jordan high grade anything....prices are rising
