Silver toned coins opposed to Clad toned coins?

Hi Guys, What metal type coin seems to tone better? Silver or Clad? or is there no difference? Never really thought about it. How about Bronze opposed to Copper or Zinc? Thanks guys!

While I have seen clad toned nicely, I see much more silver toned. And I see more copper toned coins compared to bronze.

Look up a metal reactivity series. More reactive, more likely to oxidize. If the oxidized film is thin enough, you get thin film interference and see what we call toning.
