The quad struck die pair 5 1964 peace dollars already have an extremely low mintage of just 222 pieces. But Dcarr believes this piece in particular is one of his early die state, quad-struck strikes. Which makes it one of the keys to the 1964 overstrikes.
*Just* beginning to tone gold at 3:00 obverse, 6:00 reverse. A few tiny spots on liberty's neck could be a fingerprint but might also be natural toning. Remember these pieces are now over 5 years old. If you felt they were amazing as struck, you'll be blown away now that they are beginning to attain a hint of age.
Comes with Dcarr's original insert.

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.
