Glad I sold mine

Just saw a Joe Carter 84 Donruss PSA 10 sell for $28.00 on Ebay. I sold mine for $400 ages ago and just can't believe how up and down 1980's cards can be. I have a lot of raw stuff from the 80's but just can't spend the bucks for even the big cards from the era. Just feel bad that Carter is selling for this little considering he was an excellent player from one of the most worshiped sets of the 80's.

I wonder why that one sold for less than others have been selling for. It looks like it was a 4SC card at one time. They have one listed with the serial number one above this one.

That card was the 80's version of the 76 George Brett. So tough to find centered. But with production as it was it's no wonder the pop increased a bit.

I remember around 1993 when that was a $60 card raw. Yikes.

Although the price on that card DID drop a TON (like most all other ones from that era), that sale for $28.00 was quite a bit below recent market value.

According to VCP, there have been 19 sales since 01/01/15. The lowest was $52.00, the highest $99.00 and the average $69.00.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

it's also being sold from canada with $20 shipping which may have something to do with it, I am sure many US buyers don't want to be bothered
