I never gave the "fresh material" expression much thought

But the material that has been brought into my B&M in the last couple of weeks have opened my eyes.




The collector (now deceased) loved world coin crowns and had an eye for beauty and luster. He was active from the 1950s until the 1970s. Of the ~2,000 pieces his family has brought in so far, nothing is newer than 1970, and the majority is from the 1930s or 1940s, and the occasional piece (usually from a series) skewed much, much older.
