Modern variation labeling in blue flip v. red flip

Am I right in noticing that modern variations (e.g., Bowman Chrome Refractor, O-Pee-Chee Retro) will not be label as such in a blue flip, where it will only be identified by its basic set ( Bowman Chrome or O-Pee-Chee), but the variation will be labelled as such in a red flip?

That is only at the New Jersey office. Newport Beach will continue to label the issues as they have in the past.
All cards with an auto that you want to blue flip will only authenticate the auto,,the card will only be authenticated as well if you have it red flipped. Psa . Psa /dna decided to put an end to the practice of labeling blue flips due to the large number of fakes slabbed with an auto, also many will be in decline when they try to red flip a blue flip only to find out the card was altered in some way, so now you want peace of mind knowing you have an authentic auto and it's on a nice card you will need to pay for those services. But auto cards with a red flip can be checked on the pop report to see the true scarcity and with that value increases. At any rate a lot of the beat up altered or fake blue flip junk will be forced out of the hobby and cards with an auto in nice shape will be red flipped for maximum potential.
I get all that, but I don't get why an orange prizm can't be labelled as such on a blue flip. I don't think many people are faking these. Or a refractor. But in a red flip it's noted as a refractor. Is this a New Jersey office not knowing thing? Or it is a they just don't do it on blue flips? Or do you have to specifically request it on a blue flip?
