3 ounce package with tracking was $2.04 on Friday and it's now $2.60!!! A nice 27.5% increase for the USPS!! And the USPS no longer offers Express Mail flat rate boxes.

Fairly old news, increase started today. Ebay discounts are also less for shipping.

I knew rates were going up but didn't know they were going up 27%.

Yikes. Should I even still print at home now? I have to use my ink/paper/tape/time. Why do that if no discount? Might as well give the extra work to my local PO.

On the plus side you can also ship an 8 ounce package with tracking for $2.60. A decrease from last week. image

I saw the news the other day, and really didn't think that much about how it would affect, but let me tell you after processing several packages today in varying shipping formats, its a huge cost difference increase

The priority express flat rate was confusing to customers because of the overnight express mail that USPS has been offering forever. Glad they got rid of it.

Some things are irritants and some things are actual problems to really worry about.

I know people like every little cent, but in the grand scheme of things, if $0.54 makes a huge difference, then it isn't a vocation I would want to do.

27% sounds huge, but, it is only 54 cents. If they went from 2 cents to 4 cents, it would be 100% increase and sound huge too.

And, yes, in volume, $0.54 does add up.....but, most costs generally get passed on, one way or another. Just ask the people that stick up for the auction house increases image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

That 54 cents does hit me hard as most of my packages are 3 ounces.

Actually found something that went down! I had a flat rate priority shipment that I insured for $100. Total cost was $5.90. Evidently they raised the free insurance amount on priority mail from $50 to $100 or more.

There is still a discount on priority through ebay but not on 1st class packages.

I used to use the Regional Rate A boxes a lot. None of the Regional Rates come up in either USPS pricing info or click 'n' ship. They said they were eliminating the C box, but now none of them seem to be an option.

This ticks me off just as much as the prices in the candy machine here at work. A couple of months ago they raised the price of a Snickers from $1.00 to $1.25.
    I love the 3 P's: PB&J, PBR and PCGS.

If you don't like the USPS rates, then you could always jump in your car and drive the coin across the country ......

Or drive yourself across the country to pick it up.

yes experienced it today. all 3 packages were at 2.60 each. Its more expensive ship coins than to eat! My bill the other day from McD was $2.15 for the McDouble and Spicy McChicken special.
