How do new varieties get added to the Registry sets?
Any idea how new varieties are added to the required coins of the Registry sets? Since the new Cherrypicker Guide added several hundred new varieties can we expect them to be required by PCGS complete variety sets anytime soon? Just wonerding how this process works?

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
This is what they made me do. First go to your set that you want to add the new Variety too.
Hit your Edit button and look for Report a cert that should match this composite...
You have to enter that certificate number and than you have to send them a Request thru that system.
THAN they decide if there going to add the coin or not to that set. (Takes a week or two)
I tried getting that coin added to 8 sets and they came back and told me no only 4. ( They did let me know which ones with a email)
Now were talking about coins that there doing the variety on but have not been added to a set.
I remember thinking why do I have to do this but in the end they added the coin.
It all depends if they decide its a Major Variety or Minor as too what sets you can get the coin added too.
I would call them and ask them if there doing the coin you want to know about and if and when you get one in a holder than you have to do what I did to get it added to the Set.
Confused Yet? So Was I...
Enjoy
I used to be famous now I just collect coins.
