Ever seen a horny half dime?

Picked up this 1858 Inverted Date half dime yesterday from an old collection. My friend Barndog helped nail down what she's known for (the date was punched entirely upside-down, then scrubbed and re-punched).

But there's a die break or crack developing on the reverse "E" in "STATES" that looks like a horn: The Horn-E variety image
