Interesting special for this month. Begs the question, however, what should submitters expect for a turn-around time. Will these submissions receive the "normal" 20 business day turnaround priority or the longer time normally experienced for monthly specials? This is not meant to be critical rather a 'what to expect' inquiry. I don't intend to stop submitting just trying to work out what I'll have available for a particular show when sending the notes for grading.

The turnaround times should be in line with normal Regular tier service, which right now should be about 5-6 weeks. The holidays put us a little behind this schedule but we are expecting to be back to our goal of 20 business days very soon, so 6 weeks should be a "worst case" scenario.

While I might agree with your idea, MY theory is that the powers that be might have cancelled Jason and Laura's power to use the sticky ~ since it drives business their way. :-(

VirginiaCollector is, sadly, correct...despite the fact that we purchased this section of the message board when we split from CU in 2009, they seem to have unilaterally decided to take it back over... Just another example of the sort of thing we've had to deal with lately...

Thank you all for doing your part! Our best defense against the mindset of those who believe that "might makes right" is the power of the marketplace. We believe that we've demonstrated our staying power as a legitimate third-party grading service for paper money, and perhaps our adversaries have inferred the same in their attempt to take back the PCGS brand name for banknote grading. It's a shame that it's come to this, as we've done nothing but promote the PCGS brand from day one. It's all about greed and nothing more.

I got the notes, thanks. Satisfied with the grading, no surprises. Another batch (6 notes) on the way. I appreciate the research as most of the 40 notes are not common.

If this continues at any level I will no longer be able to send any collector to PCGS-C for their metal disc grading.

I can't help but think of the phrase used by British historian Lord Acton, "Powers tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Few people are humble enough to deal with great success. The owners of PCGS-C are no different.
