Size variations in 1972 Topps?

How common are size variations with 1972 Topps baseball? I have 2 lots purchased from 2 different sellers and most cards I have measued are just over or just under the 2.5 by 3.5 standard size. If size varaitions are more common than other 70s sets, does PSA allow for slightly under-sized versions?

Not sure if this will help: I've been working on the 1971 Topps baseball set and there are definitely size variances, both horizontal and vertical. This applies to oversized as well as undersized. The quality control just wasn't there back then. I would imagine this applies to 1972 as well. PSA does allow for a slight under size. I have some in slabs that are short but have also had some rejected as too short.

I think there is a difference between vending and wax as far a size goes every year.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like this is a somewhat common issue with early 1970s cards. I never found such an issue with my 1974 and newer cards.

1969 topps football seems to have this issue as well.
