If you grade a coin a second this feat can be accomplished in way less than a single year!

    Totally doable!

Must be tough to do the onsite grading at a show in Florida and at the same time do the grading back in the office in California.

Do you work for a media outlet?

Your title says "According to AP David Hall has graded every coin at PCGS".

Kind of a zinger of a title, right?

Well, reading the article that you link to, and even the quote you list in the OP, it does NOT say that. HRH didn't say it, and the AP didn't say it. Only in your misleading title.

HRH's career spans much more time than just his time at PCGS.

That's for your clarification there Bochi. image
If you know PCGS has graded 30 million coins, than it's a math thang

You see when the reported was qualifying David Hall as an expert they probably took the 30 million coin figure from PCGS as he was the co-founder
Instead of clarifying the details for the masses, they most likely attributed the figure to Hall himself.

    But you understood that right?

Still misleading. I understand that PCGS has graded 30M+ coins. The article states that HRH has graded 30M coins in his career....not just at PCGS. Yet your title states "EVERY COIN AT PCGS".

Obviously, everyone with a bit of intellect knows you are wrong and are doing it just to clickbait for this thread. YOu don't need to go that far on it....should just be more open and transparent.

Oh well....enough said on my part....obviously, people are having fun with the discrepancy in the truth and what you wrote as, like I said, anyone with any intelligence knows the difference.

Only reason I looked was to see if they misquoted him or what. It's obvious he loves coins and probably has looked at all the cool ones graded at PCGS, but I honestly doubt he even tried to look at all the SAEs that have gone in for grading image

"There's a couple of iconic rarities in the rare coin market," said David Hall, co-founder of Professional Coin Grading Service of Santa Ana, California.

"A couple of coins have been known among the rarest of the rare for 100 years and this is one of those numismatic icons."

Hall said so few of those dimes were made at the San Francisco Mint because the country was in a recession that year and more dimes weren't needed.

Hall has graded 30 million coins in his career, including the dime that sold Thursday. He said it's in "spectacular condition, almost perfect."

Once he puts on his grading gear, 36 MM is a piece of cake.

I don't know if "way less than a single year" is correct, there are only 31.5 million seconds in a year. That leaves you literally no time to pick one up and put it down. You need to have coins fed to you automatically, and then call the grade to someone that will do something with it.

30 MILL coins over a 40 year career. That's 200 coins per hour in a typical 10 hour "working day" for 365 days per year over 40 yrs. When I did auction days of 800 lots per day or approx 150-200 coins per hour, my eyes were toasted only after 1 day of that.

Even a full time grader doing 1000 coins per day over the 30 yrs that PCGS has been around would only graded 7.5 MILL coins. HRH is 4X that amount.
