Stop by and check it out!
Some very nice bust halves (some quite scarce), around 20 contemporary counterfeits, and a half dozen Houck's Panacea-counterstamped halves from Downey's personal collection.
Check out R. E. Cox's incredible ledger and see a couple of his Art Craft-slabbed coins (one below).
Sheridan did a terrific job explaining the history and significance of these items.
You don't need to attend FUN to participate in his 42nd auction. You can bid online. But even if you have no intention of bidding the visit and perusal are worthwhile.
Lance.
P.S. I hope I'm not out of line with this message. I intended to point out some fun browsing and learning but it sounds kind of commercial.

I noticed Sheridan's website has not been updated in almost a year. Is that normal? The Active Auction closed about 8 months ago.
Successful transactions with: wondercoin, Tetromibi, PerryHall, PlatinumDuck, JohnMaben/Pegasus Coin & Jewelry, CoinFlip, coinlieutenant, bigjpst, and joebb21.
Sheridan's website is updated regularly, actually. His "active sales" is where the usual business is.
Over the years (decades, really) Sheridan has done twice-a-year "mail-bid" auctions, culminating at the winter FUN show and summer ANA. But due to the pandemic no 2020 summer auction happened. So that is the reason "past auctions" seems stagnant.
The winter FUN show is up in the air. But I see the Sheridan will have another mail-bid auction in Jan 2021, regardless. From what I can tell it will be spectacular. Consignments from Dr. Link, Keith Davignon, Dr. Sears, and a special offering of correspondence between Al Overton and Louis Eliasberg (over the 1817/4 half dollar) and numerous BHNC luminaries.
I am counting on a big stimulus check before then.
