Using Quick Reply didn't work so well this time ...

Add a line break (a "P" between a "<" and a ">") after each time you wish to insert a line break.

Line 1 is here

Line 2 is following a line break

Line 3 is following a line break

The line breaks go away when you "Edit" so the "P" between a "<" and a ">" has to be inserted again following the edit ... at least on my MacBook Pro using Safari.
