I just noticed you can do three submissions this quarter:
•Three (3) Quarterly Special submissions allowed per Collectors Club member this quarter (October 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015).
Click on the PCGS Guidelines link on this page.
Must be postmarked by 12/31

does that mean it has to be sent tomorrow, or by the evening of the 31st?
and what if I print the label myself....
does that mean USPS must have it in their hands by then?
I always get confused by the must be postmarked by 12/31 -

USPS will (by law has to) postmark a package the day they receive it...so get package to USPS by close of business on 12/31 and your good

I wonder what the next "special" will be?
Hint Hint, a Variety attribution for just the grading fee. Cause I have one.
Our deadlines are always the post-mark by date.
In this case, the package coming to PCGS must be post-marked by 12/31/2015 to qualify for the current quarterly special.
We will be announcing the next quarterly special soon!

As many shipping labels I have seen made by the shipper (myself included), I have not seen one with a "postmark"...just a date that the postage was paid for, which should be considered a "postmark". I have been wrong before.
The post office can "accept" the parcel days after it was actually dropped off into the "parcel drop off" box. This has happened to me on more than one occasion...most recently;

Technically they must postmark a package the day of the next collection time that they receive it. If you drop a package off at 9 PM, it won't be postmarked until the next business day because that's the next posted collection time.
Anyone know what the special is for this quarter?
Wait till Monday or Tuesday once pcgs folks are back from holidays and long weekend. They do not work over holidays and weekend. It is only the 2nd right now.

Interesting...I guess the special is a special label?
To commemorate our 30th Anniversary, PCGS will be offering a special label available to all PCGS Collectors Club members and Authorized Dealers. Details will be announced on February 3, 2016.

Keeper of the VAM Catalog • Professional Coin Imaging • Prime Number Set • World Coins in Early America • British Trade Dollars
I myself have enjoyed the Quarterly specials offered over the last few years. It appears as though it is a special label. Hopefully, they will include a reholder or Truview special in the Quarterly special.

A special label? That's not a grading special, that's packaging special.
More like a gimmick
