Just heard that he had passed away at age 83!! Loved watching him play for the Globetrotters in the 70s!!

    Saw him play once. Was quite the entertainer. Another gone from our past. RIP.

    My favorite Meadowlark Lemon moment was being in the arena watching the Trotters do their thing...when all of a sudden he disappeared from the court, and a few minutes later the spotlight panned up to the service catwalk high above the court near the roof... where he drained a shot from at least 100 feet away. With a spotlight in his eyes. The crowd went ballistic.
