See link. Interesting , so far. Looks like Griffey is a lock, and these early returns bode well for Piazza, maybe even Bagwell and Raines. Schilling and Mussina take a big leap from last year. Hoffman not a likely first-year inductee, but an impressive total for a first-year candidate.

    Considering Schilling is very much the Mr. October of pitchers (1993 Phillies, 2001 co-WS MVP, 2004 Red Sox bloody sock game, need I say more?) I'm surprised he's not getting more love...frankly he should've gotten in no later than 2nd or 3rd ballot or so.

    How was Piazza not a first ballot hofer. Best offensive catcher by a wide margin.

    Bagwell and Raines came so close this time, I think they will squeak into the Hall in 2017.
