anyone know whats up w/ the serial #'s on this 1922 $20 gold certificate?

they look like they're double printed... i think??

    I would think it unlikely that it is a dbl print as if it was each aspect of the 3rd printing should show some doubling...and it doesn't.Also,if you look at the 3 in the bottom serial number you can see the "mirroring"(that's what I'll call it) is the wrong shape even if it was dbl printed that wouldn't look like that.Still,I'm no error expert-these are simply my observations.

    The lower leg on the K on the left is all out of whack too. I can see a bit of doubling in the 5's as well.



    Perhaps the whole left serial number was redrawn ???

    Take a matching color pen and trace over the numbers.
