I bought a sheet of stamps :)

I got one on a letter and wanted the whole set.

I was surprised that although issued in May 2014 my post office still had a sheet.

    I like those designs.

One issue that I haven't seen discussed here is the benefit for new collectors of the USPS approach in issuing forever stamps. You can purchase a supply and you are guaranteed that they will increase in value at the same rate that mailing a letter increases.

From an aesthetic standpoint, I like having the denominations on stamps. But imagine if this relatively new practice had started back in 1967. A five cent "forever" stamp issued in 1967 would cover the cost of mailing a 49 cent letter today. Unfortunately, it takes ten stamps issued in 1967 to cover the postage.

With the new forever stamps this is a protection that coin collectors don't enjoy. So you can afford to drop $8 on a sheet like this at the post office and not be worried about the stamps only being sufficient to mail two or three letters some time in the future.
