Exactly how many fewer football/basketball cards were made in 70s/80s compared to baseball?

Though most of my collection is baseball, I do also have sets of Topps football from 1977-2000 (still need Montana RC and the three main RCs from 77/78/79) as well as Fleer basketball sets from 1987-92 (still need 87 Jordan though...apparently the 1986 set is way out of my price range even if you skip the Jordans). All that being said, I was just curious (especially with Topps) how many fewer football cards were made compared to baseball? And how come Topps didn't do basketball at all from 1983-92? I guess Bird/Magic and later Jordan and the Bad Boy Pistons meant nothing to them? image

the nba finals in 1981, boston vs houston wasn't even televised, at least not all the games. Cards shared the same interest factor. No one cared. The only packs i bought were the big ones 1976 and a few 1979. I would venture a guess based on the amount of unopened and cards listed on ebay, that 10% of the number of basketball cards were printed as baseball. Football was alot less than baseball as well. guessing 33% printed as baseball. Obviously i have no facts to back this up, but there are huge differences for sure.
