Attaching photos to posts

Could someone give me some advice on attaching photos to a post on this forum? I started a new topic on some German medals yesterday, but quickly realized I didn't know how to post my photos of the medals. Any help would be much appreciated!

You need to upload them to an image hosting site or host them yourself.

I use Photobucket and just copy and paste the image code into my post.

I am not sure what you mean by "hosting it yourself." I don't have an account with image hosting sites, but could get one, I imagine. But if it's easy, I just as soon do it myself if that's possible.

To host them yourself you need your own server and domain. Not an option for most people.

A free hosting site like Photobucket or Tinypic is the way to go.

photobucket is the way to go.. I believe it is even free.. limited though.

Thanks to all for the advice. I will set something up. It is a shame that the software for this forum doesn't allow for easier posting of photos., but the forum is free, so I shouldn't complain...

It is very easy once you are set up



with photobucket you have many choices and it is done in seconds even with large and detailed images
