Wow PWCC and 61 Fleer BSK

PWCC just listed some of the most gorgeous 61 fleers I have seen. Many 10's mixed in, plus high end 9's that look like 10's. I'm just blown away! I wish I had some certified high end funds lol.

Anybody else loving these cards?

Wow, that is a seriously high dollar lot of cards being sold. There is a certified high end PSA 10! What must a card look like to be certified high end already graded Gem Mint.

Beautiful cards. I have some 9's but looking at the 10's will probably be the closest I get.

Congrats Manny on your pick up. I think that is a very fair price for a PSA 9 from Oscar's rookie card year. I also think the Oscar Robertson PSA 8 selling for $2200 is a relative bargain. It was a 4x eBay bucks day so that would net back $100 in eBay bucks. I don't know vcp on the card but I don't feel like 8's come up all that often. I would guess less than 15-20 times per year. Considering the level of player he is and the relatively low amount of cards graded above an 8 I feel like we will someday look at that sale as a bargain. I am biased because I love this set, but I think that this set is overdue for a run up in prices. Four of the top 15 or so players have RCs in this set. Compare the print run to the 1986 Fleer set (one I love equally) and it is a bit curious that prices have not risen as fast on this set as I feel on the 1986.

In the same auction, the signed Maravich rookie that sold last summer in a Heritage auction for close to $9,000, brought $7,200 this time.

This set is absolutely gorgeous. I may have to jump off baseball cards and onto basketball. Having never purchased a basketball card, I'm getting really close. This set would be my first endeavor.

Sdub--great iconic set. Def should start it.

Steve--I was at a Christmas party and forgot to bid on the Big O rookie card--one of 4 remaining that I need to bump to an 8---really bummed I missed it. And I was surprised that I won the in action Big O at that price...

Congrats flatfoot on the Oscar Action!! I had the PSA 9 Bill Russell on watch and that was all I was going to do is "watch". Well for better or worse I ended up bidding and winning. I could not resist for my tuck away collection.
