Group of Better Date Gold Dollars G$1- All SOLD

This is a group of G$1 from my collection. I have upgraded these dates in my collection but these are some very nice coins, some I have owned for many years. PM with any questions. All prices are shipped and insured.

1853-O PCGS MS62 OGH
Very conservatively graded in an old green holder. The tics in the photo are on the slab. This New Orleans mint gold dollar has a strong strike and beautiful luster and color. One just sold on Heritage for $1057, not as nice as this one.

1880 PCGS MS65-Low Mintage of 1600
This date was one of the lowest mintages of the entire series. Many super high grade examples were saved and are available in MS67+ for a price. Here is a more affordable grade. The coin is very well struck, as expected for such a low production. It has nice luster with multi-color toning.

1861 NGC MS63
This civil war era gold dollar displays some very distinct die clashes on the obverse. You can even read the mirror image of a few letters of "One Dollar" in the fields. Great prooflike luster and color. A very sharp strike on the obverse, with the center of the reverse a little weaker due to the clashing. SOLD

1858-S PCGS AU50 Bass
Only 10,000 minted with very few survivors. This coin is well struck with nice color and luster. It does have a few hairlines on the obverse which account for the grade. The reverse is likely AU58. This coin's pedigree is from the famous Harry S. Bass collection and is noted on the holder. A real bonus!

1859-S PCGS AU50
With an original mintage of just 15,000 pieces from the San Francisco Mint, and very few survivors, this is a tough date. This coin becomes almost impossible to find in mint state, so problem free AU examples are sold quickly. An all original coin with a great strike and nice color and luster.
