Are personal correspondance signatures more desirable than publicity photo type signatures?

I picked up, accidently, a matted and framed Johnny Carson collage and was wondering if personal signatures are more desirable than publicity photo type signatures?

Not usually, if its just "to Joe Blow", from Johnny Carson, then the majority of the time it's less desireable. But it also depends on what the collage consists of and if its to anyone historical or important in his life.
