Are all TrueView photos made available through this link? Sometimes when I enter a cert number, I get a message that says "Server Error 404: File or directory not found". I assume this means there is no TrueView.
However, I have also gotten an error "Server Error 403: Forbidden: Access is denied". Does this mean there is a TrueView that only the person who ordered it can see? If so, how can I get access?
I am getting this for a PCGS Gold Shield coin I bought a couple of years ago (cert 19676396).

Thanks, yes, I see a photo (purple and off-color) when I do a certificate verification.
But I was looking for the TrueView version if there is one. Not sure why it is telling me "access forbidden"
Thanks again
Yours has a Gold Shield from a couple of years ago. The TrueViews that now come free with Gold Shield weren't part of the service a couple of years ago. It may have a CoinFacts photo, which is exactly the same except for the PCGS template.
After looking at your coin on the Cert page I can see yours is a Secure Plus photo (pre- Gold Shield, pre- Secure). This isn't an actual photo of your coin as a TrueView is.
If you want a TrueView of your coin you will have to send it in for Reholder (in a Gold Shield slab). The TrueView will be included with the service. This would be $17. Economically you would be better off to piggyback with someone that needs the same service, otherwise it will cost more than the $17. There is a $10 handling charge for each submission plus shipping ($23.05 for 1-4 coins).

Thanks guys, formerly robec’s so he gets the finders credit!
Is it $10 per coin for handling, or $10 per package mailed in?
It's $10 per submission. If you have 5 submissions in one package that would be $10 for each of the 5. You may mail them all in at the same time, but PCGS mails them out by submissions so each one has their separate fees.

The coin should have come back in a GS holder. It did not? If not, contact CS and request a RMA to fix mechanical error. >Free all around.
The picture (above) has a little gold shield on it???
Run the certification number on it and it comes up gold shield with a picture of the entire holder.???

Awesome @robec thanks much!
Its an inexpensive coin and not worth TrueViewing percentage-wise; was just looking up coins I own to see if they had been photographed.
Great information though and I appreciate you responding.

@robec So $17 + $10 + $23? Each plus whatever your initial shipping costs to them were?

Yes. If you have more than 4 coins shipping goes up, handing charge stays the same.

I guess I’ll be sticking with already slabbed and truviewed

That's why I suggested going piggyback with one or more submitters to share the cost of shipping and handling charge.

Hi
Why does my Gold Shield submission not have any kind of images? ( 20 coins )
It will just give it time. It takes up to a day sometimes for photos to show.
Why not just use the new SPECIAL? https://pcgs.com/trueviewspecial?utm_source=website&utm_medium=spotlight&utm_content=freetrueview
My Washington Type B/C Set
How come the coin I bought in France has this as a GoldShield picture?
And it won't upload to my set registry
Do I have to send it back to PCGS to have a "US GoldShield" reholder & pic?

The coin should have come back in a GS holder. It did not? If not, contact CS and request a RMA to fix mechanical error. Free all around.
Previous owner may have it in their registry? Need to have them remove it so you can add.
As for pics, contact CS to see if it is already on file and to make an adjustment. Might try PM @PCGSPhoto, too.
