Shill much?

How many shill accounts does one person need?

Shilling bastages...

Last legit bid was that $101 bid...

P.S. I *HATE* the new forum software stripping carriage returns - it makes posts far less readable and look like they were posted by a 7 year old.

and yes, using the new forum SW is like coding with notepad in 1999

  • Speaking of coding in notepad in 1999...

You can make a carriage return (like I'm doing on this post) by typing "BR" in <>, and twice to skip lines.

In spite of the fact that it says "HTML code is not permitted" at left, apparently little simple stuff like that still works.

However the average poster wouldn't know that, which is why all the posts now will look like long, run-on paragraphs with no breaks.
Buying Athens, GA nationals and obsoletes, for my personal collection
Buying most large and small type notes and some nationals for inventory

  • Yup ... Basic HTML works

  • MEC2, yep whenever I see the 'shills' I either stop bidding or just don't bid at all; even if it's a note I really want. And when you see a "100% bids to this seller" you automatically know the game is rigged. DanCong, thanks for posting the stats for all to see.

How can people be so dumb enough to shill on Ebay? It's back up for auction on the same day it sold for $96. Would really like to send him an email but what's the point? Would be like talking to a cat - they will pay attention but don't really care.

According to eBay's shill bidding policy "Shill bidding is also illegal in many places and can carry severe penalties" and they ask to be contacted when "someone is breaking the rules." Has anyone ever reported a seller/bidder for this? Was there any sanction?

    Intrigued by all things intaglio.

Just sold for $97--one dollar more than last time--to the exact same shill bidder.

    Once again...
