Going rate for FASC 85 Topps wax

I am thinking about having Steve authenticate my unopened factory case of 85 Topps to sell as individual boxes. I saw one go for well over $200 the other day.
Made me wonder what the board would pay for those if I offered them here

A 4-box BBCE lot just sold for an average cost of $95 in a recent PWCC auction. This seems more realistic to current market conditions. A single box @ $265 is an anomaly and someone didn't do their homework or the eBay price manipulators are just being foolish.

I would expect sales of FASC boxes on eBay to go for around $125-135 on a consistent basis. A $200 sale is an anamoly IMO.

Same seller of the $265 '85 Topps box also "sold" a 1980 Topps BB wax box for 2K with the same 2 knuckleheads bidding it up. I wouldn't put too much value on the info you're using to plan your big case break, Ed.

I agree with Stewie. I this $120 is about the max they would sell for. The underbidder on the box that sold for $265 was the high bidder on the FASC 1980 baseball that sold for $2000. I think both were an anomaly.

One thing also to consider with this endeavor is the $100 charge that it will cost to wrap all the boxes, and the shipping there and back that will also be expensive. May be cost prohibitive. Don't know what you have into it...but these items will cut into your profit margin.

During the most recent BBCE case break coordinated by djr in October these sold for $115 each wrapped, $10 for shipping.
