All the 89 Falcons are pretty rare. But the fralic, being a lineman, was produced in ever smaller quantities. The 88 falcons were not the best team in the NFL at the time. So with small popularity and only being released regionally, this made this team pretty rare. Not to mention the great color on those figures and the offensive lineman pose being very popular among collectors today. All these factors make the 89 fralic very desirable.
Lots of other hard to find figures. From 88 to 91 Starting Lineup had a regional release with many teams/players! Makes building a set very interesting sometimes.
If you have any other starting lineup questions, please let me know.
the 1989 Kenner SLU baseball set had some tough figures to find too....For the life of me, I couldn't find the Ripken figure anywhere in 1989, after it being somewhat plentiful the year before.
to demonstrate how different the hobby was back then, I wrote a letter to Kenner directly asking if they could sell me one and they responded by sending me the Ripken for free!

That's a great story! Kenner was an awesome company! They did that same kind of thing with other toy lines. The 89 Ripken was also a regionally released figure. The 89 baseball set is a monster set. The biggest ever produced! Tons of regional figures. The hardest probably being the Angels. The Devon White is the holy grail of that set. And to make matters worse, it's next to impossible to find one that the bubble hasn't turned yellow.
Cool thanks for watching! I just saw it got 4,000 hits! Maybe you were the one that hit that number . Please feel free to share your collection sometime. I love to see what everyone has!
Got to meet an NFL player today that had a starting lineup, he signed it for me and was excited to take a pic all in one . I don't know if he knew what to make of the toy

According to Collinsworth, they all wanted one. I heard rumors that all players got a prototype, but I was never able to confirm that.
if all players had been given a prototype, more than one would have sprung loose at this juncture....I watched the piece last night, very cool!
