This coin has been the jewel of my collection, but my interests have shifted and I need to part with it. Technical grade wise, I think this coin should go 67. I've never re-submitted it, but I think it would go 66+ for sure. I think the toning on the reverse is what may have held it to 66. The cheek is super clean and there are no noticeable hairlines. There are some toning breaks behind the cap that may appear like hairlines, but they are not.
This coin has auctioned at just over $12k and just over $11k since 2012.
I price this coin at $10,000 because I know the condition of the market.
I believe this coin is a nice relief from the typical blast coins and has quite a bit of originality and character. The eye appeal is stunning.
