Article is informative, but probably about 12-15 months behind the times. The slope of the rise in prices is significantly less steep in 2015. In many instances things have even leveled off. In cases of those things which overdid it (79 and 80 BB for example) there has actually been somewhat of a retreat.

Still good to see SCD paying some attention to this segment of the hobby.

I agree, good article but about a year too late. I know I am bidding on and winning on ebay at prices that didn't stand a chance last year. It's a nice discount so I am starting to buy more. The supply and demand cycle at it's best.

A little off topic but where are all these 1978 and 1979 Topps baseball racks and 1979 3 pack trays coming from? I love them but the supply seems like it is growing.
Love those 70's - early 80's packs and boxes...send me a message if you are selling because I am buying

Steve has broken down several cases of 79 trays over the past couple of years which has contributed to supply. 78 trays are still tough but 77 and earlier, especially so.

I was surprised when I looked at the published date. It may have sat on the writers or editors desk for 8-12 months too long. Other than the prices, it is a good informative article..thanks
