I prefer your images vs the seller's, but it's close. The images look like they are kryptonitecomics, he is an active member here.
I don't see anything in either set of the images worth making a fuss over, the coin looks well represented in the seller's photos. Maybe a touch too bright, but that is typical of internet coin sale photography.
I agree, looks like KryptoniteComics' images. Don't like the coin, wouldn't have bought it from his pics to start with. I think yours are probably more accurate to the in-hand look... that overly yellow reverse is indicative of bumped saturation.
Calling what I presume are your images the "actual images" is somewhat of a fallacy isn't it? I mean, coin photography is dependent on what the photographer themselves wants to show you and has the capability of showing you, no?
Interesting, thread was not meant to start controversy. I have no issues with the seller. Bought from him before and will again. Was just saying the coin didn't look like I thought it was going. Interested in people's perspective on which look they prefer.
And 100% for sure vibrance and saturation and likely several other things were adjusted. Coin photography is an art for sure ... so was asking do you prefer the artistic rendition of a coin or the actual rendition of it, or neither.
Aren't they all actual images? Just different people taking them.
Technically you are correct, all images are actual images...
I was trying to see which coin people preferred, or disliked both...looks like 2/3 of the people so far preferred either coin 1 or 2, and 1/3 of the people didn't like either coin.
Judging some of the feedback thus far, this topic looks like it might have hit a nerve for some.
I'll take down the poll and change the thread title...so it can just drift down out of oblivion. I received the input I was looking for already, so thank you to those who participated.

Why is the sellers images not the actual images?
They are both photography and as we a know a coin can be photographed a hundred different ways with a hundred different results.
Everyone has different photographic skills or lack there of.
Photography is subjective.
I like the sellers picture showing more reverse color.
The owner knows what the coin looks like in hand and if he states his images are a representation of that coin, that's a final conclusion.

That said, I prefer the second set of images (labeled as ACTUAL IMAGES) in the OP.
