Decisions... Which 1963-D Franklin for the toner Dansco?
Last week I posted a thread about the difficulty of making a decision on two 1963 Franklin toners for the Dansco. Being a coin collector, I've got OCD. If I find a coin I like and the price isn't too bad I'll buy it. I realized early on that I was getting more Franklins than I needed for my toner Dansco, so I ended up buying three Danscos. However, I am trying to put together a Top set, and then have the surplus coins wend their way down into the surplus Danscos. Given that the coins are raw coins my collecting goal is not Great coins, but nice coins on a reasonable budget. I've got three 1963-D Franklins here that show different characteristics. Do you enjoy the looks of the coins, and which one is your favorite? The first one is imaged by Shane Canup. The next two are imaged by Bob Campbell. I think they both did excellent jobs.

However, my personal favorite is the third coin because of the strong strike (reference the Eagle on Reverse) and the best preservation state which exhibits very few distracting contact marks and ripping mint luster.

Coin #1 seems the obvious choice, but Coin #2 has a nice subtle overall tone that I suspect might be more vivid in hand than the image shows. Am I right?
It is subtle, but has a decent underlying luster...

Not sure I've ever seen one of those before.
