odd looking dime

found this 2005p Dime with what looks to be a blob of metal on the neck, any ideas on

what kind of error this is ?

    Looks like a nice little die chip. Fairly unusual there.

    Sure looks like the mintmark is P. As for the extra metal at the base of bust - I won't disagree with CaptHenway.

    well it got my notice so I looked at it closer with my 16x mag and saw the blob of metal

    which thanks to you all has now been ID as a die chip
