I’ve decided to part with the major Lincoln cent errors from my personal collection, several of which are very unique pieces. My preference is to sell them as a group rather than piecemeal and will consider reasonable offers for the entire group, however, if you’re really interested in specific pieces, let me know. For those of you attending the November Whitman Baltimore show, I will have them on display at my table in case you’d like to examine them in person.
This is the PRIZE of my entire Lincoln cent error collection! It has NINE planchets bonded together to form a deep flower-like cup. The 10th planchet broke off and is separately certified. Whenever I displayed this in my case at shows, it drew a lot of attention from anyone who passed by. To say the least, it is a very DRAMATIC error and a piece that I think any Lincoln cent error collector would be proud to add to their collection. Price for both together: $7,900
This is 25 blank planchets from the 1960’s that got jammed in the feeding shoot and bonded together. Usually when the planchets became jammed and stuck together, they were removed and melted down, so this piece is the only known bonded planchet set to make it out of the Mint. Price: $2,900
This 1964 Triple Struck Obverse Die Cap has fantastic eye appeal with its gorgeous iridescent toning. Price: $1,500
This 1969-D is a very dramatic high grade Nicely Toned MS66 RB Triple Saddle Stuck Lincoln cent error. Price: $1,500
This Off Center 1980 Nickel struck on a Cent Planchet is the only one I’ve seen. Price: $1,500
1980 Nickel Struck on a Cent Planchet. Price: $350
I’ve seen several double denomination dime/cent errors, but NEVER have I seen one where both portraits of Lincoln and Roosevelt were struck UPRIGHT together, giving this piece a neat hologram affect. Price: $2,000
This is a very cool piece with 5 errors! Price: $700
Very interesting Double Struck Lincoln on a Ragged Clip. Price: $500
