Opinion on this Gretzky RC?

It's currently in a BGS holder. What do you guys think of it's chances on a PSA crossover?

Thanks!

Right edge leads me to believe it's not sheet cut. I don't see any issues with a cross.

Does it have the first print lines on the back? Many of the first print of this issue have sharp edges. I think it will pass, but my only concern is that one of the edges may be trimmed, however, I will admit, I'm not really good at detecting trimming from a photo.

    Best of luck!

Thanks Patrick. No lines on the back. I do like that it has one rough edge. Although, I have one with 4 straight edges that came back PSA 8(OC).

Like you, I struggle with identifying trimmed cards but that's why I would only consider this card in a psa/sgc/bvg holder. Although, any OPC card in a BVG holder makes me worry about sheet cut.

i would appreciate any other input. thanks guys!
  • I don't see any significant issues. However, there is always the question of what grade it will cross. Eyeballing, it looks like a PSA 6.

Agreed that's important..haha. I purposely cut out the current grade to avoid skewing opinions.

I'm no expert on the card, but if there are no significant surface issues I think it could get into a 7 holder based on centering, corners and edges. My guess is BGS 7.5.

The top edge looks a little funky to me. Could just be how it looks through the mylar though.
