Problem sending PM to board member

I'm trying to send a message to a board member but I keep getting this message:

ERROR: One of the values in the url has not passed validation.

Error Code: 113

Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? I tried just typing in the message box and then typing it in Word and copying.

I used to get similar (although slightly different) messages before the "upgrade", especially if I wrote a long pm that was more than a few lines. First it would ask me to enter a code (one of those letter and number combos to make sure I was a human and not a robot) and sometimes it would send the pm after I entered the code but other times it wouldn't and it would say something to the effect of "you passed a string." No matter how many times I would refresh the page and generate a new code it still wouldn't let the message go through; I don't know if it had something to do with the length of the pm, the content or both.

Did anyone else ever used to get the same message in the old format??

I tried making the message smaller today but still got the same error. :-(
