Pay No Attention To The Wall Behind This Guy's Head

Really just checking to see if the old way of posting pictures still work on the new forum software.

Looking through my PhotoBucket pics, I found this 1911 photo that was labeled as a dorm room. I think I may have posted this here a few years ago, but here it is again for anyone interested.

Cool photo. I do remember when you posted it way back when.

Any of those tobacco cards really important/valuable?
  • You or someone posted a couple other vintage pics also
    . Which were cool.

The one REA used on their catalogue is an all time classic.

Someone a while back was able to trace the photo to Panama (maybe??). I don't remember for sure. The mosquito netting made it plausible.

I think two Christy Mathewsons'. One for sure behind his head, top row third from right. I think another above right side of table, first full card on left.

  • Also, they said it was a student. I don't recall the profession or field of study. But they had an answer regarding that.

Yeah guys, there were two pictures. I got them both at the same time from a pretty obscure Usenet group that
used to have some cool historical photos.

I'm not sure if this one was taken at the same time, or at the same location as the other one, and the cards are
too distant to make out on this one, but it's still an interesting photo.

I remember some discussion about the headboard of the iron bed in the first photo having a crossed swords
medallion, which could lean it toward a military room.
