Cards damaged by PSA

Just wondering if anybody on the boards have had cards damaged by PSA before. This has happened one other time on a few cards on another sub and then it happened again. I do sub monthly so its a very rare accurance for sure. The cards were damaged before graded I can tell since the low grade these cards received and obvious damage that was not there when I sent them to PSA. What do they do? and how to you prove it? any thought would help. thanks

Yes I have had it happen a few times. Just contact customer service and they will transfer you to whomever is in charge grading dept. Can't remember who it was that I dealt with because it was many moons ago. He took my word for it and issued me vouchers for the card's worth.

thanks for the info, it was only 4 cards out of 74 but still. I will give them a call on monday. And dnice there is no reason for this to go poof anyway, its not talking bad about PSA. Be postive on the boards, they are informative.

Only had one card damaged. The card was perfect but when I got it back graded it had the good old fingernail mark on the top when they pulled it from the card saver. It was a card that was selling for $300 in gem mint at the time but the card came back a PSA 9 (surprisingly).

Good to hear. I meant to ask this earlier...were the cards damaged in the same spots?

They were actually in different spots but all were corner damage. These were glossy and looks like. Somehow the peeled the corners up. Not sure if they did it removing it from the card saver 1 or putting in back in after they looked at it. None were high $ cards but all 5 , I have about $60 invested n them.

All were coner damage but in different area on the 5 cards. They were not high dollar cards. Only about $60 combined raw but had potential in Psa 10, I hit 40 Psa 10 of 72 cards on this sub too. These were glossy cards and looks like they peeled the corners. I am thinking from either taking it out in putting in back in the penny sleeve and card saver 1.
