Contest....What grades are these Mantles? or just post them?..opinions.

The puppies are sick. So sitting at home tonight taking care of them. They're finally sleeping so got me thinking...

Since discussions have gotten kind of slow or the same ol topics. I was thinking of posting my collection of about 13-16 Mantles (and other nice ones) to share. Since some great guy here have allowed me to purchase directly from them or bought my sealed boxes. With the $ going into Micks about a year ago. I thought Id give back to the community.

Hopefully some would enjoy viewing Mantles. With a "whats my grade" thread here and there, I may just make one big one "grade it" thread. Perhaps a contest on what is the total grade of all 15 for some sort of prize...78 or 79 cello with a star, wax pack, or 300 1988 raw commons etc. Depends on the number of participants.

Or rather just post the pics with the grade which are fun to look at. May also share some rooks etc that you may like. What do y'all think? Sounds like it could be fun and haven't seen anything similar. Now i gotta figure out how to post pics and cover up their PSA grades. And have to wait on two CU members to sell me their '52 Mantles. image

Thoughts...what free contest isn't fun or just post 'em? Or no interest at all? Ideas on how to run it, delete the serial numbers etc?

Any thread with pics of cards, especially Mantles, is enjoyable. If there are contests and prizes all the better. If you put the cards onto photobucket you should be able to crop just the card cutting out the flip entirely.

Which is the best to transfer photos from, iPhone or iPad? Can i take pics from iMac or even screen shot then transfer? If you don't know, we're switching pretty much entirely to Apple.

Best way to do it is take photo with IPad, load to photobucket, and transfer over to post. That is the easiest way I have found. Looking forward to seeing the cards.

cant quite figure out how to crop with photo bucket.

spitballing...show all cards and have you guys list a total score of the grades they got..or submit individual scores per card and see how close to the graders their eyes are....seeing the range of CU members score might be fun....ex. one gives 6 the other 7.5 and the explanation perhaps. hmm

i should be posting what i do have in a bit....thanks to those who have written and helped...for some reason the cropping feature won't work...just downloads for an eternity...ill keep at it

This is why you need a collectorfocus page- it's easy to link the pics. And you need one so I can plot out my next big purchase... image

if you record or use the registry or "my inventory" section at psacard.com, just use that.

that way you only have to load up once vs rescanning and uploading to another additional site.

just go to the card ya want to post. hit "view item", click on the pic ya want and copy the link.

    super easy.

I used to love collectorfocus until I purchased a new scanner and the file sizes were always to large to upload. It became a hassle to scan at the highest quality and then transform to meet the maximum threshold. I switched to flickr and absolutely love it, the only con being the need to remove a line of code when posting an image.
