Question for 1993 Topps Finest Collectors??

Or for anyone who might know.
I have noticed on some of the 93 Finest refractors you can see a line on the card, horizontal, that goes across the card. The area above or below, depends on the card, has a slightly darker area than the rest of the card. Just something in the printing process I take it??
