Found after being lost for over three years.

Way back in 1991 my Dad went to the Final Four. He had some sweet seats from a vendor and hung out after one of the Saturday games and got me this auto. I loved college basketball and getting a cool auto like this from my Dad really made my date. We all know the Jimmy V story but that auto met so much to me as I got sick myself and would pull out the auto to remind me on how to handle my situation.

Fast forward to 2012 and I am cleaning out my clutter of a collection and moving it to another area of the basement. I threw out a load of 80's and 90's crap and thought I did the unthinkable. I threw out Jimmy. Over the past three plus years I tore apart the basement multiple times searching for this as it means the world to me.

Last night I was tracking down a picture of myself from high school to show my daughter that we both ran on the same cross country course and what did I find on the same shelf? JIMMY!

I grab it and start celebrating like I won the National Championship. My wife looks at me like I am some kind of idiot (nothing new here) but then I explained the story to both her and our daughter. I was a great night last night. I plan on picking up a pic or two of Jimmy and framing this up. Pics to come in the following months.

Cool story, I'm still hoping that a picture of me and Gordie Howe that was taken when I was a young buck playing hockey will surface. One day it just went poof.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Congrats on finding it. I am a longtime NC State fan and a Jimmy V faithful. I am still searching for autos of him my Dad obtained while he visited Salisbury, NC for the National Sportscasters and Sportwriters Convention in the 80's. I hope I am as lucky as you!

I was a freshman at NC State when Coach V was dismissed. He was a great guy. He drove a red Mercedes convertible with the ugliest white shag carpet interior around campus. He always threw up a hand or blew the horn. I used to listen to his radio show in the 80s with Don Shea. He was always 20 minutes late to his hour long show because he was eating at Amedeos Italian restaurant on Western Blvd. He had great stories to tell every week. As a young big mouth Rutgers college guard he ran into Muhammad Ali and Ali called him into the ring. There is a great book out there with all kinds of stories from friends who knew him best. Times have changed. He was dismissed for a few irregularities while Roy Williams still has a job at North Carolina. Unbelievable. I grew up a UNC fan but I always loved Coach V. He lived life to the fullest.
