Fritsch Vending Boxes

I always wondered what kind of condition were the boxes that Fritsch sold were in. On BBCE page, they have a few (Vending) from Fritsch and they look great! Were their wax and rack boxes that clean as well? Hard to buy stuff you can't see!

Good luck getting a rack box from them, but I probably bought a couple dozen of they're 79 football and baseball racks back when they were well below $100 and they were always case fresh.

Wow, I wonder if BBCE picked these up or if Fritsch is consigning to them?!? Those are incredible vending boxes.

Fritschs stuff is very nice and purchased during the year of release. A frustrating place to try to buy from though

Ok so let's say that someone buys this vending box from 1970 Topps series 4. What numbers are within this series? At the asking price from BBCE that makes each card a $28 card. Is there a chance for Mays or Ryan in this series? $28 a card with a couple of Mays would help bring the price for the commons down to $20 each.

Edited to add: Shane, if someone DID rip that Vending Box, I guess the money would be in POPPING a few "10s". There are MANY that are POP "1" and "0".

Everyone says they are hard to deal with. Why is that? Never even looked at their site, just curious.

Does this mean there are roughly 6 sets of the 4th series in the box?

    Thanks,

  • First, they limit the quantity of what they have for sale. I attempted to buy 4 89 Bowman Tiffany sets two years ago, placed the order online and didn't hear back for a week. I finally called and all they had was one in stock that they were willing to sell me at the sale price. Finally, they only take money orders for unopened wax/rack and cello. The last I checked they did, at least.
  • I heard of them a few years back but without pictures it's really hard to just jump out there unless you've had a good transaction with them before. Seem to have a good reputation on unopened material but with all the recent increases in unopened the product is really expensive. I guess you can do that when you know people aren't sitting on what you are. Would love to just to a peek in that warehouse image

I agree. Good luck trying to get any quantity. I emailed many times about 1979 Topps rack boxes and they would not sell one. They keep quantities on their website low. I ordered 12 on their website and after two weeks and no package I called and emailed. The finally sent out 6 with a note saying that was all they had in stock. I know that is not true. I bought boxes over 10 years ago but they did the same thing. Ordered 3 boxes, sent 1. Also after my order they raised the price online and a few weeks later took them off the website. I don't understand that business model so I purchased it from someone else.
Love those 70's - early 80's packs and boxes...send me a message if you are selling because I am buying

It looks like All of the new Fritsch vending has been removed from BBCE site or my browser refresh has stopped working.

On the vending "per series", are there any cards out of that series included? For example, if a series has 80 cards and the vending is 500 cards, are all 500 cards comprised of only the 80-card series?

    Thanks,

    David (LD_Ferg)

Yes. The sequencing is not guaranteed like the 80s Fleer vending boxes, but you should be pulling multiples of each card in the series.

I don't see them either. I definitely saw them this morning but perhaps they were sold today. I think there was a '72 vending box up there as well, from one of the middle series.

The consigner probably took the vending boxes back after the stock market rallied 10% from friday morning.
