Finding a Thread That dropped Off the Page

How do I find a thread that "fell" off the page because no one has posted in a while? Placing the subject into the search box never works. More specifically, I'm looking for the Pro FB HOF Autograph thread under the PSA Set Registry forum. All of these words fail. Thanks for your help.

I used "HOF" and "Autograph" for a title search in set registry forum.

I see people say that and I don't get it. Just use one or 2 keywords. I have never been unable to find a thread on here.

If you use the 'Search Category' box at the left top of the page, it's awful. The search button near the top right works well now as long as you select the correct category(ies), though I've had it time out quite often in the past. Another option for Google is to add 'site:forums.collectors.com' to the search and it will only search here.
ETA: Now, that I finally clicked on the search button on the right side of the page, I relaize it brings you to the same screen as the one on the left, lol..

<< <i>I never use the search button on the top right of the page. I always use the advanced search button on the left side of the page, where you can enter key words for title or body of thread, search by user id and by forum categories. That method always works very well for me, but you have to click on the right settings.

Sorry, I just can't agree with that. if you know the thread title and type in 1 or 2 keywords, it works 100% of the time. Examples:
"Mike's"
"Doug's"
"September"
"Group Sub"
"Dan's Yaz"
"Reds"
"cappelletti"
"Hog"
"Dallas"
"Pro Line"
"Larkin"
"charrigan"
"sleeves"
"TTM"
Every one of those was 100% effective in finding the exact thread I was looking for.
