First time post, some PSA/DNA poppage

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Similar story as many others I presume. Long layoff from the hobby while college, career, family, etc. took precedence. I blame (ok, I was a willing participant) my brother for getting me back into the hobby a few years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed ripping product from our youth (early-to-mid 80s) with him over a few beers every now and then. Now, having a ten-year-old son, we've started to enjoy the hobby together despite my complete ignorance of "modern" cards. I suppose my re-entry to the hobby is nearly complete as I even attended the National this year in Chicago, my first since attending the 1990 National in Arlington, Texas as a teenager.
In any event, I enjoy reading posts from other collectors, especially their rips and/or poppage successes or disappointments. I figured it was time to make my small contribution to the community.
Back in the late 1980s, I was an avid autograph seeker through the mail, both retired and active players. With my new PSA membership in hand, thought no time like the present to take advantage of the September PSA/DNA football special to find out the legitimacy of some autographed cards that haven't seen the light of day in over two decades. All were obtained through the mail many years ago. Can't complain on the whole, but also learned with the Luckmans that when I have multiples, probably best to just send one as a test first when i'm not completely sure of their authenticity.
Without further ado...

Have another batch of football HOFers at PSA/DNA now, so hope to improve the authentic batting average a bit on that one. Thanks for allowing me to share.

I grew up collecting from '84-'90 and just last year got back into the hobby becoming a PC (Player Collector) of Don Mattingly (collected when younger) and Mark Buehrle and haven't much interest in vintage (cost and lack of statistical knowledge of pre-80's baseball) so often times I'm on the outside looking in on most of these threads.
Great job getting the authenticated slabs. PSA is a bit anal with authenticating specific cards. There are many cards I want authenticated but they consider them oddballs and won't do so, passing on my money.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Appreciate prompt turnaround as the sub popped in just over one week.

Helps save a bunch in grading fee's.
You might not know this, being new, but I have an extensive Tippett collection. He's my favorite player of all time.
Congrats on a great percentage of authenticity!
